Pathfinder • Ages 5–6

Our youngest girls are just beginning their AHG journey. Pathfinder focuses on simple service, learning to be a good friend, and discovering that God made them with purpose.

  • Short, hands-on activities that keep them moving and engaged.
  • Learning to listen, share, and take turns in a group.
  • Very simple badge work: creation care, safety basics, and being a helper.

Tenderheart • Ages 6–9

Tenderhearts begin to understand what it means to serve others and follow Christ in everyday choices. They explore new interests and learn basic skills through fun badge work.

  • Learning about our country, our flag, and how to show respect.
  • Intro to cooking, simple first aid, and safety at home and church.
  • Serving others with projects like card-making, food drives, and thank-you notes.

Explorer • Ages 9–12

Explorers dig deeper into AHG’s badge frontiers and begin to take on small leadership roles. They try new skills, discover their strengths, and learn to serve as part of a team.

  • More advanced badge work in areas like nature, STEM, and outdoor skills.
  • Helping lead flag ceremonies and simple devotions.
  • Supporting larger service projects that bless the church and community.

Pioneer • Ages 12–14

Pioneers step into visible leadership. They help plan Troop activities, practice decision-making, and grow through outdoor adventure and deeper discipleship.

  • Planning and leading portions of meetings, games, and campouts.
  • Growing outdoor skills: hiking, camping, and trail ethics.
  • Designing and leading service efforts alongside adult leaders.

Patriot • Ages 14–18

Patriots are the oldest girls in the Troop and serve as role models for the younger levels. They refine their leadership, complete advanced badges, and often take on significant service projects.

  • Leading teams, mentoring younger girls, and modeling Christ-like character.
  • Planning larger events or service projects that impact the community.
  • Preparing for life after high school with real-world skills and volunteer hours.
